My Research
My research interests fall within the general area of Management Science, in particular that of
Operations Management.
I enjoy making algorithms that can solve hard problems, ranging from
problem-specific algorithms, over variations of meta heuristics, to algorithms that solve the problem to optimality.
I have also worked some on the construction of lower bounds for optimization problems and on combining these with heuristics, such that one can obtain a lower abound and a near optimal solution from the same algorithm.
The main part of my research have been within the area of Logistics, where I have mainly worked on the CARP and some variations of this problem.
When I have some extra time, I have fun working on other problems,
like scheduling, binpacking or various online problems.
